Dr. Aishath Shina presently holds the role of Acting Director of Local and International Relations at the Islamic University of Maldives. Her academic journey boasts a PhD in Education from the University of Brunei Darussalam, a Masters in educational management from the University of Malaya, and a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the Maldives National University. Accumulating over two decades of dedicated service to the education sector, Dr. Shina has left an indelible mark.

Dr. Shina's true passion lies in teaching, exemplified by her extensive experience conducting Professional Development workshops for educators across the Maldives while her commitment to research is equally notable, with a specific focus on educational management and teaching and learning. Her work has been featured in respected academic journals, showcasing her dedication to advancing educational practices.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Shina is a devoted contributor to her nation's social welfare. Her service to the Maldives Girl Guide Association, spanning more than 15 years, includes holding the esteemed post of Littlemaids Commissioner. Her outstanding contributions to the education sector were recently acknowledged with the prestigious "Rani Award, 2023." This accolade highlights her exceptional achievements in shaping the educational landscape.
